Defining educational and non- educational text is a pretty hard thing to do because it has different meanings to every person. I define educational text as books, reading, writing, teachers and just school in general. Just being at school conveys the idea of learning to me. But if you really break it down I think all text is in some way educational, weather it be someones shirt or a cell-phone, or an advertisement or just anything that makes you convey an idea. If you see someones shirt and it makes you convey an idea and you learn something new then I think that is educational.
